Role of the Board of Directors: The presentation will emphasize the role of the Board of Directors in a not-for -profit agency. Emphasis is placed upon the role of the “volunteer” board and development of an orientation program for the Board. Participants will be provided with a basic understanding of the role of the Board versus role of Administrators. We will establish the role of the Board of Directors and examine the areas wherein the role of the staff and board become convoluted. The seminar is intended to clarify these roles. The function of the Board as policy makers and governors will be thoroughly examined. |
