Work Place Safety: Most staff have not even considered how they would react to violence in their centers. Every agency must have a clear plan for evacuation and safe harboring of staff and children. We will explore the issue of work place violence and make recommendations for policies and procedures which may alleviate some incidents of violence. We will also address how to handle the media following an act of violence, the warning signs of potential violence, and the impact of violence upon children and families.
