Policy council members, Board members, and professional staff often do not clearly understand the roles and responsibilities of each group. We will discuss the role of the Policy Council as established in the Performance Standards and examine the areas wherein the role of the Policy Council and Board become convoluted. The seminar is intended to clarify these roles. Particular emphasis is placed on the development of an orientation program for the Policy Council and we will provide participants with an agenda to help them develop this program within their agencies.
